PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire capable of enhancing the uniformity while enhancing the high-speed durability by basically regulating the difference in the intermediate elongation percentage of a band cord between a shoulder part and a crown part to be in a predetermined range in a band layer. SOLUTION: The pneumatic tire 1 has a carcass 6 and a belt layer 7 arranged on the outer side in the radial direction. A band layer 9 consisting of at least one band ply 9A with the band cords arrayed substantially parallel to the tire equator is provided between the carcass 6 and the belt layer 7. The band ply 9A is formed by spirally winding a strip-like ply with one or a plurality of band cords covered with topping rubber around the outer side of the carcass ply. Further, in the band cords, the difference between the intermediate elongation percentage Ct(%) at a crown part and the intermediate elongation percentage St(%) at a shoulder part is≤10%.
