PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a label printer capable of booting by switching a language, a currency mark and a country code without requiring replacement of a ROM when a display language is changed. SOLUTION: When a user turns on a power switch by pressing a key "5" in a keyboard, a screen of "display language selection mode" in the drawing is started. A language to be displayed on a liquid crystal screen is selected by an operation of keys of arrows of "←" or "→" on the board. After a key of "ENTER" on the keyboard is pushed to confirm the selection, the label printer boots every time when the power switch is turned on in a condition that a barcode label of the selected display language, a currency mark corresponding thereto and a country code can be printed.
