PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing machine capable of outputting reporting sound even when communication abnormality is generated between a main controller and a sub controller. SOLUTION: To the sub controller 20, a buzzer 11 is connected. The buzzer 11 is connected to the main controller 19 as well, and the main controller 19 indirectly drives the buzzer 11 on the basis of the transmission of a buzzer command to the sub controller 20 when the communication abnormality is not generated and directly drives the buzzer 11 without transmitting the buzzer command to the sub controller 20 when the communication abnormality is generated. Thus, buzzer sound is generated even at the time of the communication abnormality such as disconnection and noise and the ON/OFF of a power source is reported to a user. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
