PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface desirably encrusted with a moss plant, and to provide an objective product having the surface. SOLUTION: This surface encrusted with the moss plant is formed by contacting and encrusting a surface specified in the following with the moss plant, wherein the surface is composed of any one of (a) "an adhesive material which is curable at ordinary temperature and enables the moss plant contacted therewith to grow" in a cured state and (b) a composition containing powdered paper and/or a precursor to paper and a geologic fine material.
