PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tank monitoring system for monitoring a tank for the treatment of liquid, a liquid body, gas, and powder, etc., and rapidly reporting abnormality occurrence to persons concerned when the abnormality is determined. SOLUTION: A gas leakage sensor 11, a temperature sensor 12, a pressure sensor 13, and a level sensor 14 are attached to the tank 10 each performing measurement. Measurement data of the respective sensors are fetched into a sensor server 20. Even when only one of the sensors is determined to have an abnormality in data, the sensor server 20 is automatically connected to one designated destination among a PDA device 31, a portable telephone set 32, and a monitor center 33 via the Internet 40, so as to report the abnormality occurrence to the equipment of the designated destination.
