PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector equipped with a directional sound speaker with which the position of a viewer existing in front of a screen is always within a reproducing range, unnaturalness is restrained from being produced between a video and sound even when the projector is not arranged at a position right in front of the screen, and to provide a sound reproducing range control method for the projector. SOLUTION: The projector equipped with the directional sound speaker is provided with a positional relation information acquiring means for acquiring information on positional relation between the installation direction of the projector and the screen, and a rotation instruction performing means for rotating the screen so that the reflected wave of sound wave emitted from the directional sound speaker may go toward a desired direction based on the positional relation information.
