PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a punch mark lighting system lighting a punch-mark object wherein a punched mark is formed to easily read the punched mark. SOLUTION: This punch mark lighting system lighting the punch-mark object wherein the punched mark is formed comprises a light source 9, a holding means 7 holding the punch-mark object 1 so that a surface in which the punched mark 1a of the punch-mark object 1 is formed crosses with an optical axis 13 of the light emitted from the light source 9 and a cover means 5 covering the holding means 7 and the light source 9 for blocking external light other than the light from the light source 9, and having an opening 11 to see the punched mark 1a of the punch-mark object 1.
