<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable with an optical fiber built in a cover part early finding out abnormalities of cables like a power cable or a signal cable and coatings before a grave accident occurs caused by short circuit or the like due to extremely aggravated insulation. <P>SOLUTION: Optical fiber is built in a cover part in advance, and a light-projecting part and a light-accepting part are fitted at terminal parts of the optical fiber.
