PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of requiring many days for curing base concrete, for requiring much labor, due to being unable to place the base concrete in a rainfall, a snowfall and bad weather, in a construction method for forming a side ditch by installation of a gate-shaped side ditch block. SOLUTION: When forming the side ditch by the installation of the concrete gate-shaped side ditch block 5, after leveling the foundation ground such as excavation and crushed stone rolling, a height adjusting metal fitting 10 is arranged on a ground leveling surface, and the gate-shaped side ditch block 5 is arranged on the height adjusting metal fitting 10. Concrete of a foundation and a bottom slab is simultaneously and integrally placed after assembling a foundation form by adjusting the height of the gate-shaped side ditch block by the height adjusting metal fitting.
