PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare a contrast medium which is used for X-ray inspections, improves the stability of liposomes and the retention stability of an iodine compound, enhances the retainability of a contrast compound in blood, achieves the efficient delivery and good targeting of the contrast agent, and especially has an excellent tumor-imaging property. SOLUTION: This contrast medium for the X-ray inspections contains liposomes made by a supercritical carbon dioxide method. The liposome contains at least one of cationic lipids, sterol compounds, glycol lipids, and glycerol lipids in the lipid membrane of the liposome, and contains the water-soluble iodine-based compound in the aqueous phase of the liposome. Thereby, the stability of the liposome and the retention stability of the iodine compound are improved. The contrast medium for the X-ray inspections does not contain a poisonous solvent such as a chlorine-based solvent, because of being produced by the supercritical carbon dioxide method, and has high safety.
