PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a ketone peroxide with a high dimer peroxide content at a high yield. SOLUTION: In the preparation method of the ketone peroxide, a ketone compound is reacted with hydrogen peroxide using an acidic ion-exchange resin as a catalyst in the presence of water. Here, the amount of water is adjusted to 10-150 pts.wt. against 100 pts.wt. acidic ion-exchange resin. The acidic ion-exchange resin used as the catalyst is one having a sulfonic acid group.
