PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of causing stains on a printing medium through the contact of the printing medium with moisture caused with the discharge of an ink and accumulated during the reciprocal movement of a print head due to the significant moistening of a discharge face in an inkjet printing device using an ink containing a dye as a color material and a high polymer substance showing an acid value of 200 or lower. SOLUTION: An ink absorbing member is provided on an extended line of the reciprocal movement of the print head at least at one end of the printing area of an inkjet printing device. Consequently, the ink absorbing member is made to contact the discharge face by the reciprocal movement of the print head to remove a moist ink caused on the discharge face. Since the ink absorbing member is provided at the end of the printing area, the discharge face can be made to contact the ink absorbing member in the range of the reciprocal movement of the print head and resultantly the printing speed will not decrease even if the frequency of contact is increased.
