PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust arrester in a scrap wood unloading yard without wetting a scrap wood and capable of preventing dust from scattering when the scrap wood is unloaded on the unloading yard. SOLUTION: In the scrap wood unloading yard 1 in which at least three faces comprising a floor face 2, an inner wall and a ceiling wall 4 are covered with a wall face, the inner part is provided with an unloading part, and also one incoming space or a plurality of incoming spaces 6 where a scrap wood carrying vehicle for dropping the scrap wood on the unloading part are partitioned in the interior, an air curtain device 10 provided with air blowing out means 8 for blowing out air downward in both sides positions of each incoming space 6 of the ceiling wall 4 and air sucking means 9 for sucking air in both sides positions of each incoming space 6 of the floor face 2 is disposed on each incoming space 6.
