The present invention provides novel coiled coils including fragments of C4bp which are capable of forming oligomers. These fragments can be used to oligomerise other components, such as polypeptide and non-polypeptide antigens. Also provided are C4bp fragments which are modified by substitution of one or more amino acids or by conjugation to PEG.
