PUSH-IN PIPE CONNECTOR

A push-in pipe connector includes: a hollow connector body (1) including an open end into which a pipe end can be inserted to connect the pipe. A collar-and-fingers component (3) including a ring portion (4) surrounds said open end of the connector body and a number of fingers (5) extend within the connector body (1) from the ring portion (4). Each finger terminates in a gripping edge (6) for engaging the outer wall of a pipe end inserted into the connector body (1). A pre-tension spring device (7) is captured between the ring portion (4) of the collar-and-fingers component (3) and the end of the connector body (1) which biases the collar-and-fingers component (3) away from the connector body (1).
