<p>The invention refers to a method and a machine for manufacture of rollers, and particularly rollers for use in roller bearings, incorporating in combination: advancing a material strand (2) into a rolling gap provided in the axial direction between at least two aligned, rotatable rolls (5, 6, 6'), at least one of which is driven to rotate, allowing the material strand (2) to be shaped into a consecutive series of roller blanks (8) by passing through the rolling gap, which is defined by a substantial helical profile pattern (7) in each one of the rolls (5, 6, 6') parting off individual roller blanks (10) from the continuous series of roller blanks (8) after the passage through the rolling gap, and passing the individual roller blanks to subsequent finishing treatment.</p> |
