The invention relates to a cycle-type vehicle. According to the invention, the user actuates the crankset (1) using the pedals (20). The cams (16), which are distributed along the camshaft (17), cause the tipping levers (13) and the tensioning levers (9) to oscillate, thereby bringing the springs (7) successively to the maximum tensioning positions thereof. During the return movement, the bearings (11), which are solidly connected to the winding levers (9), move the common drive shaft (10), thereby turning the wheels (5) which are connected to the shaft (10) by means of a planetary gear, a secondary drive shaft and a chain or pulley transmission system with a gearshift mechanism.
