Theatrical arrangement of tiers of seats in a motor coach

A motor coach 1 comprises a driver's seat and an array of passenger seats 9 arranged in successively raised tiers along a stepped or sloped deck 6. A tiered portion of the deck 6 can extend substantially along the full length of the motor coach, or can lead into a further horizontal upper deck portion 8 at the rear, with a lower deck 21 below accessed from the upper deck 2 via a spiral staircase 40. Luggage compartments 15 are provided below the tiered deck portion 6. The roof 10 of the coach is sloped above the tiered deck portion 6 forming a wedge shape to the motor coach, and is formed with a high proportion of glass or is open, to permit passengers seated in the motor coach an uninterrupted forwards view through a wide angle.
