A fastening insert (10) has lower and upper inserts (11,12) joined together through a mechanical connection or through force fit. The lower and upper inserts have flanges (11d,12b) for bearing against the opposing faces of the cycle parts to be fastened. The lower insert has a bearing surface (11a) complementary to the bore (12c) of the upper insert.
