The fireproof glazing to prevent the passage of fire and smoke from one room into another consists of a number of glass surfaces located side by side. At least some of the glass surfaces (A-E) are formed by fireproof panels (1) fitted to each other in a profile-free manner and which in addition to their vertical joints (10) are also retained on their horizontal joints (11) by a sealing medium alone. At least one (C,D) of the glass surfaces is formed at least partially by a door or window frame (7) which by its edges is held exclusively by the adjoining fireproof panels.
