A cable puller for cable-laying apparatus comprises a housing with a plurality of passages through it for cables (18) being laid. Cables (18), are passed through the device by driven rollers (62, 72) and can be individually urged against the driven rollers by idler rollers (65, 75) mounted on pivoting arms (66, 76). The distance between the drive rollers (62, 72) and the idle rollers (65, 76) is adjusted by screw devices (44, 46) which are provided for urging individual idler rollers (65, 75) into contact with a cable (18) to be drawn through the device. The driven rollers (62, 72) can be disconnected so as not to draw one or more of the cables (18) through the device. |
