A bar 1 for the reinforcement of concrete manufactured by hot rolling is disclosed, in which a central core 2 is in the form of a substantially uniform cross section together with ribs 3, 4 having a high-relief and hollows 6 having a low relief on the exterior core surface. The ribs facilitate adherence of the reinforcement to concrete. The hollows are formed as parallelograms, preferably rectangles or squares. In an alternative embodiment the hollows are formed as rhomboids 7 in such a way that the high relief portions determine a continuous helicoidal rib 5. In another alternative embodiment the high relief portions are shaped similar to the hollows, as rectangles which are contiguous at their vertices. |
