FIELD: lighting engineering; incandescent lamps. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed incandescent lamp incorporates two similar filaments. First filament is supplied with power during positive half-cycles of sine-wave current through first diode and second filament, during negative half-cycles of sine-wave current through second diode. Feeding filaments with one half-cycle current and using radiated heat enhances economic efficiency of lamp. ^ EFFECT: enhanced economic efficiency; extended service life of lamp due to feeding its filaments with unipolar pulses. ^ 1 cl, 1 dwg |
