FIELD: rolling process; spindle joints of section mills; connection unit of rolls and spindles. ^ SUBSTANCE: proposed connection unit includes drive tail-piece of roll, spindle hinge consisting of holder and bush with barrel-shaped roller located between them, centering rings secured on end sections of bushes and engageable with ring over spherical surface and flange secured on its end face, as well as device for axial locking of hinge on drive tail-piece of roll; this device consists of cylindrical rod mounted in coaxial transversal holes made in bush at shift relative to its axis by radius of mounting surface of drive tail-piece of shaft; drive tail-piece has semi-cylindrical transversal slot at depth equal to radius of cylindrical rod where rod is located; holder has two holes which are coaxial relative to transversal holes in bush and are closed with plugs; engageable surfaces of plugs and holes in holders are smooth; outer end faces of plugs are provided with fastening strips mounted perpendicularly relative to axis; they are mounted in seats made on outer surface of holder and are secured by means of bolts; cylindrical surfaces of inner end faces of plugs are made flush with inner cylindrical surface of holder at radius equal to radius of this cylindrical surface. ^ EFFECT: enhanced reliability and serviceability; reduction of emergency idle time; increased productivity; enhanced accuracy of rolled metal. ^ 4 dwg |
