FIELD: transport engineering; bicycles. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hand drive of bicycle combined with handlebar. With handlebar being rocked in vertical pane, reciprocation of carriages 4 along guides is provided through connecting rods 3. Carriages transmit said motion to flexible members 5. Flexible transmission contains pulleys or sprockets 6 on axle 7 and sprockets 8 with overrunning clutches transmitting rotation to hub 10 of front wheel. Drive includes right hand and left-hand flexible transmissions with provision of independent operation in case of failure of one of them. ^ EFFECT: provision of complete utilization of rider's weight for driving. ^ 1 dwg |
