The device has an occultation curtain guided along rails (5a, 5b) mounted on a motor vehicle. The curtain is movable to folded and unfolded positions where the curtain is rolled up on a rolling tube (2) and extends horizontally above a luggage receiving space, respectively. The rails are articulated to operate between a working state and storage state where the rails are perpendicular and parallel to the tube, respectively. An independent claim is also included for a motor vehicle comprising a luggage-cover device.
