<p>The procedure, in which a blind is made from two or more layers of material (10, 12, 17), includes a stage in which stiffening ribs (11) are inserted between the layers, e.g. during their assembly with the aid of films of hot-melt adhesive (18). The stiffening ribs, made from a plastic and/or metal, are spaced at intervals of 1 - 5 cm, and can be fixed between the layers as they are assembled by passing between heated rollers (13, 14). The layers of material making up the blind can include an opaque layer and one that matches the interior trim, e.g. of Jersey fabric.</p> |
