Ski or similar device used for sliding on snow comprises a mounting aid on the top surface (32) for a binding (28) or its components, especially in the form of a binding plate (10). The mounting aid is permanently connected to the top surface so that the ski and mounting aid form an integral unit with regard to mechanical properties.
