PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooling device for an internal combustion engine, improving fuel consumption during cooling the engine. SOLUTION: The cooling device 1 comprises a heat retaining container 12 for retaining and storing the heat of cooling water heated passing through a water jacket 3 of the internal combustion engine 2 and a bearing passage 26 which is provided in a crank shaft bearing 29 for a crank shaft rotating part 25 and in which the cooling water is distributed stored in the heat retaining container 12.
