PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor with an end cap having increased mounting strength and sealing performance while contributing to a reduced weight. SOLUTION: A sealed container is constructed by fastening and fixing a flange portion 3c of the end cap 3 formed of an aluminum material to the opening end of a container formed of an aluminum material with a plurality of bolts. A thickness (L-h) of the flange portion 3c is set to be 20% or more of a thickness t of a maximum thickness portion, namely (L-h)/t≥0.2. A depth h of a step portion is set to be 40% or more of a total length L, namely h/L≥0.4. Thus, the mounting strength and sealing performance of the end cap 3 is increased, permitting the formation of the the sealed container suitable to compress CO<SB>2</SB>refrigerant gas which has higher pressure than freon based refrigerant gas and achieving the reduced weight of the sealed container.
