PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that one gable-end tile has to be used for every one rising step to form a roofing of two overlapped gable-end tiles in the case of using a conventional gable-end tile although some effects can be obtained to prevent the tile from being blown, lifted or separated due to wind and rain, the gable-end tile cannot be used in a Sikoro-buki roof in which a plain tile is inserted between upper and lower gable-end tiles because a rising part is not provided, and the conventional gable-end tile has a disadvantage in appearance and weather resistance because the tile exposed to the gable end face is not provided with a means for concealing the side end face. SOLUTION: The gable-end tile is used in the gable end of a roof formed by the Sikoro-buki roofing method of the plain tiles. The gable-end tile comprises a suspended part formed on one end of a main body and a rising part formed on the tail side of the suspended part with leaving a cut part. On the supposition that the gable-end tile is set as a lower step gable-end tile, the upper step gable-end tile having the same constitution is laid on the top face of the lower step gable-end tile, the top side end of the suspended part of the upper step gable-end tile is butted against the tail side end of the rising part of the lower step gable-end tile, and the top side end of the upper step gable-end tile is nearly aligned with the tail side end of the rising part of the lower step gable-end tile and/or the top side end of the flat tile.
