PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To release a screen printing stencil from a pressure of an inside doctor when a cylinder pit of an impression cylinder passes for a rotary screen printer. SOLUTION: The rotary screen printer is equipped with a plate cylinder 1 carrying a screen printing stencil 3 and an impression cylinder 2 having at least one cylinder pit 4 in which a sheet gripper 5 is installed. The sheet gripper 5 is composed not to project upward on a printing surface of the impression cylinder 2 in a closed position. A position adjustable doctor 6 is arranged inside the plate cylinder 1, pushed on an inner surface of the screen printing stencil 3 in the case of printing operation with an operation mechanism 7, 8, 9 and when the impression cylinder 2 passes an open domain of the cylinder pit 4 of the plate cylinder, raised by being separated from the screen printing stencil.
