<p>The invention concerns a security stirrup for horse-riding comprising a footrest (2) for receiving a rider's foot, at least one arc-shaped branch (11, 12) integral with said footrest (2). The invention is characterized in that it further comprises at least one rigid element integral with said branch (11, 12) and a second rigid element integral with the footrest (2) to form a shell in the extension of the assembly formed by the footrest (2) and said branch (11, 12), said shell constituting a volume sufficient to receive the tip of the rider's foot, the opening of said shell being flared so as to form a spacing (H) above said foot, said spacing (H) flaring from the corresponding shell end (E) at the tip of the foot to said shell opening.</p> |
