<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic electroluminescent element of high durability not degraded by moisture or oxygen in the atmosphere even with use for a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: The organic electroluminescent element 1 is provided with a hole injection electrode layer 12, an electron injection electrode layer 14, an organic compound layer 13 laid between the hole injection electrode layer 12 and the electron injection electrode layer 14, and a protection film 20 coating the exposed faces of the electron injection layer 14 and the organic compound layer 13. The protection film 20 is formed into a multi-layer film by successively laminating a silicon nitride layer 15, a diamond-like carbon layer 16, and a silicon oxide layer 17 on the exposed face. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
