<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch operation for performing radio communication with an external information recording medium to operation for reading information optically from an optical information recording medium while maintaining grasp situations of the apparatus by a user almost similarly. <P>SOLUTION: Personal digital assistance equipment for performing information read processing or information write processing non-contact with respect to at least the external information recording medium, includes: an optical information read means 6 which has a window to let light in and out on the surface of a second case body other than the surface of a first case body covered with hands gripping the personal digital assistant 1 to read information of the optical information recording medium optically; an antenna 4 having on the side of the surface of the second case body an optimum communication direction capable of performing the radio communication most efficiently; and an RFID processing part 5 for performing the information read processing or the information write processing via predetermined radio wave transmitted and received by the antenna 4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
