PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grooving grinding tool which correctly and efficiently carries out grooving in stone materials etc., for connecting the materials together, through a simple operation. SOLUTION: The grinding tool is operable by securing its disk-shaped cutter blade 15 to a spindle 11 of a rotary power tool by clamping a lock nut 20, and formed of a first guide plate 13, an inner flange 14, and a second guide plate 17. The first guide plate 13 is rotatably arranged on one side of the cutter blade 15 closer to the power tool, and abuts on a reference plane of a work material in the process of grinding to guide the grinding tool in a grinding direction. The inner flange 14 is located between the first guide plate 13 and the cutter blade 15, and determines a distance X from the reference plane 75 of the work material 70 to a groove 72 to be ground. The second guide plate 17 is arranged on one side of the cutter blade 15 opposite to the power tool, and abuts on a side surface 71 of the work material 70 in the process of grinding to terminate movement of the grinding tool in the grinding direction, to thereby determine a depth Y of the groove to be ground.
