PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus in which quality of an output image can be improved by interpolating a built-in image using an interpolation method suited to the image. SOLUTION: An image processing apparatus includes: a data storage section for storing built-in images; an interpolation method storage section for storing an interpolation method optimal for each of the built-in images; an image interpolation section for magnifying/reducing image data according to said interpolation method; and a data storage section for storing interpolated data, and an image can be magnified/reduced using the interpolation method optimal for each built-in image.
