PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system and communication recovery method in which a load of a station side apparatus can be reduced by automating resetting processing of a terminal side apparatus in the case of recovery from a power supply cut and suppressing the reduction of a throughput capacity of the system. SOLUTION: If a commercial power supply cut occurs in a terminal side apparatus 100, the terminal side apparatus 100 transmits a frame in which "power supply cut information" and "setting information" just before the power supply cut are contained, to a station side apparatus 200. The station side apparatus 200 stores the "setting information" contained in the frame transmitted from the terminal side apparatus 100 and after the power supply cut in the terminal side apparatus 100 is recovered, the stored "setting information" is transmitted on a frame to the terminal side apparatus 100 to reset the terminal side apparatus 100, so that a communication system is automatically recovered.
