PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving operation assisting device for a vehicle that transmits information regarding a lane marker in the circumference of own vehicle to a driver in an easy-to-see state. SOLUTION: A controller of the driving operation assisting device for the vehicle independently changes shapes of right and left side parts of a driver's seat based upon the lateral position of the own vehicle in a lane. When the own vehicle approaches the lane marker, the angle of rotation of a seat side part on the lane marker side being approached is increased to apply a larger pressing force to the driver and the angle of rotation of the seat side part on the opposite side is decreased to apply a smaller pressing force.
