PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring method and a measuring device capable of measuring kind and concentration of metal ions in a solution on an on-line basis. SOLUTION: This method comprises the steps of: immersing a working electrode and a counter electrode in a measuring solution; passing an electric current between the working electrode and the counter electrode, and measuring a potential-current curve due to an electrochemistry reaction to specify the kind of metal ions in the solution; holding the potential of the working electrode to the reduction potential of the specified metal ions; detecting the minute deformation amount of the working electrode generated by a metal film formed on the working electrode; and determining the metal ion concentration in the solution based on the minute deformation amount.
