TRANSPORTATION SERVICE INFORMATION PROVIDING SYSTEM AND TRANSPORTATION SERVICE INFORMATION PROVIDING UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transportation service information providing system which provides service information of transportation means about boarding site near users, while suppressing load of the system.

SOLUTION: A transportation service information providing system 10 is provided with an information providing unit 20 having communication function by ad hoc network and ad hoc mobile terminals 30 which form the ad hoc network together with the information providing unit 20 by data transfer function. The information providing unit 20 transmits service information of transportation means including providing area information in which area including the boarding site to the transportation means is decided as providing area of the transportation service information; and the ad hoc mobile terminals 30 determines whether their present locations are included in providing area decided by the providing area information or not, and perform notification of transportation service information and forwarding of transportation service information to other ad hoc mobile terminals 30 according to determination result that their locations are included in the providing area.
