PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polychlorinated biphenyl cleaning method easily operated by removing a fouling insulation oil from electric equipment, where a very small amount of PCB is mixed with an insulation oil, by performing reutilization without disassembling a main composition member, such as an electric equipment body and a coil, and by minimizing a period of suspension in the electric equipment. SOLUTION: In the polychlorinated biphenyl purifying method, two processes are performed while the electric equipment is being installed. In one process, a collected oil storage vessel 9, a new-oil supply vessel 13, and a gas vessel 17 are connected to a body vessel 2 for composing the body of the electric equipment in which a mineral oil based insulating oil 3, where the polychlorinated biphenyl is mixed, is connected by pipes 6, 7, 11, and 16, respectively; the insulation oil sealed in the electric equipment is adjusted to gas sent from the gas vessel for discharge; and the insulating oil is collected into the collected oil storage vessel. In the other process, a new oil is replenished into the body vessel from the new oil supply vessel; and the insulation oil in the electric equipment is replaced.
