PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reaming excavation method which contributes to saving in excavation work. SOLUTION: The reaming excavation method is comprised of the following steps. In the core boring hole excavation step, a reaming excavator 1A is mounted on the periphery of a core boring casing 3 in a mutually slidable and clutchable manner, and the core boring casing 3 is rotated forward to be press-fitted into the ground without being clutched to the reaming excavator 1A. In the core boring hole earth removing step, earth in a core boring hole Hi is removed by an earth removing device 9. In the elevating and clutching step, the core boring casing 3 is elevated to allow the reaming excavator 1A to be clutched thereto. In the reamed hole excavating step, the reaming excavator 1A is rotated backward to be clutched to the core boring casing 3, and then the excavator clutched to the casing 3 is press-fitted into the ground to ream the core boring hole Hi.
