Said element comprises a support and at least one ink-receiving layer, said ink-receiving layer comprising at least allophane-type amorphous spherical or ring-shaped aluminosilicate particles, said aluminosilicate particles having been submitted to an acidic treatment. Said particles can be natural allophane, purified or not, or allophane obtained by synthesis.
