PHOTOSENSITIVE TRANSFER MATERIAL, PROTRUSION FOR LIQUID CRYSTAL ALIGNMENT CONTROL AND METHOD FOR FORMING THE SAME, AND LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitive transfer material suitable for use in formation of protrusions for liquid crystal alignment control which regulate alignment of liquid crystal molecules, ensuring a uniform thickness even when protrusions for liquid crystal alignment control are formed on a large substrate, and having a wide development latitude; protrusions for liquid crystal alignment control formed using the photosensitive transfer material; a method for forming the protrusions; and a liquid crystal display.

SOLUTION: The photosensitive transfer material has at least one photosensitive resin layer containing a cresol novolac resin on a temporary support. The protrusions for liquid crystal alignment control using the photosensitive transfer material, the method for forming the protrusions, and the liquid crystal display are also provided.
