PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direction indicator capable of computing an accurate direction irrespective of destinations, vehicle types, operation conditions of vehicular electrical equipments or the like, and capable of reducing a cost. SOLUTION: A direction of earth magnetism detected by an earth magnetism detecting means is corrected to determine the direction of a vehicle by a direction determination means 1, based on detection information such as the present position of the vehicle, and operation conditions of equipments and the electrical equipments attached to the vehicle, and based on a preliminarily stored correction data. In concretely saying, the direction determination means 1 acquires preliminarily magnetic information generated from the equipments in the periphery of the direction indicator and a vehicle body, generates a directional circle serving as a reference for the direction determination when correcting the direction of earth magnetism, and sets a size range of the directional circle when generating it, in a range fit to a using condition of the vehicle, to determine the direction of the vehicle.
