PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for making trousers comprising removing a surplus part at a lower hip part to fit to the wearer's hip so that the trousers have such a beautiful silhouette as not to look sag when seen from behind. SOLUTION: The method for making trousers comprises the following process: moving right and left upper portions of a triangularly overlapped part toward an obliquely downward direction from near the intersecting point E of a crossover line 6 and a buttock line 4 in back body part patterns of the trousers on a drawn construction so as to form a triangularly overlapped partΔDE' E" looking like formation of darts; remaking a profile line of the back body part pattern to create the back body part pattern of the reformed trousers; cutting a fabric based on the back body part pattern and the front body part pattern of the trousers; stretching the portion corresponding to the overlapped part of the cut back body part fabric using an iron ranging an area equivalent to the overlapped part; and sewing up the right and left back body parts and the front body parts together in a stretched state.
