PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction device for a floor efficiently sucking dust collected at the corner of a wall and improving the operability by reducing the weight. SOLUTION: This suction device is provided with a suction port 3 opened from the lower surface of a suction body case 2, at least, to a part of the front face; a vertically turnable cover 6 constituting the front wall closing the suction port 3 in front of the suction device body case 2 and opening the suction port 3 in front of the suction device body case 2 by turning by the abutment of an abutment part formed in front of the suction device body case 2 against the wall surface W or the like; a closing member 12 attached to the tip in the lower side of the cover 6, closing a clearance between the cover 6 and the floor surface or a plane part and formed of a soft material; a rotating brush 4 rotatably disposed facing the suction port 3; an air pit 16 formed in the suction device body case 2; and an air passage 17 formed to guide the air sucked in the suction device body case 2 via the air pit 16 to a position of rotating the rotating brush 4.
