METHOD AND SYSTEM ASSOCIATING A SIGNATURE WITH A MOBILE DEVICE

A method, apparatus, and system are directed towards associating a device signature with a mobile device. The invention is configured to determine at least one level of trust associated with the mobile device and an associated carrier gateway. In one embodiment, the mobile device may have multiple levels of trust associated with it. One tier of trust be determined based on whether the mobile device provides a device identifier. Another tier of trust may be determined based on whether the mobile device is configured to receive a cookie. Still a third tier of trust may be determined based on a dynamic session identifier. The level of trust may also be determined based, in part, on a trust associated with the carrier gateway.
