IMPROVED COMPOSITION FOR CELL-FREE PROTEIN SYNTHESIS

[PROBLEMS] To provide an improved composition for cell-free protein synthesis, preferably a composition for cell-free protein synthesis whereby an elevated efficiency is achieved by using ATP within a more optimum concentration range at appropriate magnesium and creatine phosphate concentrations. Also, it is intended to provide a reagent, a kit and a cell-free protein synthesis method using the above composition. [MEANS FOR SOLVING PROBLEMS] By using a composition for cell-free protein synthesis which contains 2 to 3.3 mM of magnesium and 1.3 to 3 mM of ATP, such a high protein synthesis efficiency that cannot be achieved with the use of conventional compositions, can be established in cell-free protein synthesis.
